Providing Hope. Transforming Lives.

The Naomi Project, Inc.

  • Mission

The Naomi Project, Inc. empowers women in the Democratic Republic of Congo by teaching them crucial job skills through our partnership with the Hope Center, a community-led initiative. We believe vulnerable Congolese women deserve a proud and secure future for themselves and their children.

  • Vision

In partnership with The Hope Center, we envision a brighter future—hope, pride, and financial security—for vulnerable women in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Effective job training and robust support systems, enables Hope Center graduates to develop successful businesses that energize, expand, and enrich their lives.

The Next Chapter for the Hope Center

Now in its fifth year, the Hope Center has achieved remarkable success, with 10 cohort classes and nearly 200 graduates empowered to lead self-sufficient lives.

Inspired by this progress, founders Antoinette and Leonard are ready to take the next big step: securing property and constructing a permanent facility.

Currently, classes are held in rented rooms at a local pastor’s home, where space is limited. As demand for sewing classes grows, the need for dedicated, expanded classroom space has become urgent.

Broadening Horizons: New Training Programs

Looking ahead, Antoinette and Leonard envision expanding the Hope Center’s offerings beyond sewing. Planned programs include job training for diverse careers such as:

  • Restaurant cooks and owners

  • Housekeepers

  • Hairdressers

  • Daycare providers, and more!

Holistic Support for Women and Their Children

The Hope Center also aims to enhance its holistic approach by introducing:

  • Basic reproductive education and family planning options

  • Personal development and life-coaching workshops

  • Early childhood development classes to improve parenting skills and support the next generation

With these additions, the Hope Center will continue to transform lives, creating brighter futures not only for the women it serves but also for their children and communities.
